# Consul TLS
|

Command: `consul tls`

The `tls` command is used to help with setting up a CA and certificates for Consul TLS.
|
||
|

## Basic Examples
|
||
|

||
|
|
Create a CA:
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|

$ consul tls ca create
|
||
|
|
==> Saved consul-agent-ca.pem

||
|

||

Create a client certificate:
